Midsole

The Cascadia 17 GTX has the DNA LOFT v2 foam, the foam that adapts to your running style. The foam is extremely light and Brooks has found the right balance between the right amount of air and rubber in the foam. The result is a responsive foam with good cushioning that ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe. Trail Adapt System is the advanced system of the Cascadia 17 GTX and ensures that all elements of the sole work together. The sole consists of three elements that together provide enormous control and stability. The system allows the following three elements to work together: the integrated DNA LOFT v2 foam, a protective and propulsive rock plate placed between two layers of DNA LOFT v2 and an advanced outsole system. The Trail Adapt System provides extra control while running and creates a mix of improved propulsion and protection.

Upper

With the Cascadia upper you'll be ready for your next trail adventure. The mesh upper is comfortable and has the additional advantage that it has a ventilating function. The reinforcement at the toes protects your feet against bumps and sharp obstacles. In addition to the extra protection at the toes, the upper also has a transparent mudguard and a Gore-Tex® membrane to protect you from mud and rain showers while keeping your feet cool. The Cascadia has an upper that makes you trail-ready. The mesh upper is comfortable and has the additional advantage that it has a ventilating function. The toe part of the shoe is extra reinforced to protect your toes during your run through nature. In addition, sweat vapor will have the opportunity to escape, but the shoe is protected from rain by the Gore-Tex® membrane. To keep the tongue centered and prevent dirt from entering the shoe, a pleated tongue is connected to both sides of the upper.

Outsole

The outsole of this model makes you trail-ready. The shoe has a TrailTack Green Rubber, consists of 25% recycled materials and is long lasting, making the shoe extra durable.
