Midsole

DNA LOFT v2 is the foam that is incorporated into the midsole of the Cascadia 17. The foam is lightweight due to the right balance between the amount of rubber and air in the foam. The foam has Brooks' DNA technology, where the foam adapts to your running style. This means the shoe has a cushioning foam that ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe. The Cascadia 17 has the Trail Adapt System to create extra control and stability during your trail run. The system consists of three elements: the integrated DNA LOFT v2 foam, a protective and propulsive rock plate placed between two layers of DNA LOFT v2 and an advanced outsole system. The three elements work closely together to create a shoe that can handle varying terrain and adapts to your running style.

Upper

With the Cascadia upper you'll be ready for your next trail adventure. The mesh upper is comfortable and has the additional advantage that it has a ventilating function. The reinforcement at the toes protects your feet against bumps and sharp obstacles. In addition to the extra protection at the toes, the upper also has a transparent mudguard to keep your feet cool and dry. The pleated tongue of this shoe is connected to the upper on both sides, preventing dirt from entering the shoe and keeping the tongue centered. The upper is made of mesh and makes the Cascadia very breathable and provides a comfortable feeling while running. The toe area is extra reinforced to protect your toes against bumps and sharp obstacles.

Outsole

The outsole of this model makes you trail-ready. The shoe has a TrailTack Green Rubber, consists of 25% recycled materials and is long lasting, making the shoe extra durable. This outsole technology from Brooks provides excellent traction uphill and downhill. The TrailTack rubber in the outsole gives you optimal grip on both dry and wet terrain.
