Midsole

The Cascadia 17 has the DNA LOFT v2 foam, the foam that adapts to your running style. The foam is extremely light and Brooks has found the right balance between the right amount of air and rubber in the foam. The result is a responsive foam with good cushioning that ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe. The Cascadia 17 has the Trail Adapt System to create extra control and stability during your trail run. The system consists of three elements: the integrated DNA LOFT v2 foam, a protective and propulsive rock plate placed between two layers of DNA LOFT v2 and an advanced outsole system. The three elements work closely together to create a shoe that can handle varying terrain and adapts to your running style.

Upper

With the Cascadia upper you'll be ready for your next trail adventure. The mesh upper is comfortable and has the additional advantage that it has a ventilating function. The reinforcement at the toes protects your feet against bumps and sharp obstacles. In addition to the extra protection at the toes, the upper also has a transparent mudguard to keep your feet cool and dry. To keep the tongue centered and prevent dirt from entering the shoe, a pleated tongue is connected to both sides of the upper. A mesh upper makes the Cascadia breathable and provides a comfortable wearing experience. The toe area is reinforced to protect your toes from sharp objects.

Outsole

For good grip during your trail run, Brooks has developed the TrailTack Green Rubber outsole. TrailTack Green Rubber is produced on a sustainable basis, consists of 25% recycled materials and is wear-resistant, making the sole extra durable. This outsole technology from Brooks provides excellent traction when going uphill or downhill. The TrailTack rubber in the outsole gives you optimal grip on both dry and wet terrain.
