The inner ring has a lower density, is more flexible and provides traction as your foot rolls off. The EnergyCell midsole is made of EVA material. This cushioning material effectively absorbs shocks and distributes the pressure over the feet. It returns energy and resists the blows the shoes catch on feet when running trails.
