Midsole
Enerzy foam and Enerzy Core work closely together in the midsole of the Wave Skyrise 5. The top layer of the midsole is made of Enerzy Core, this foam is the softest and most resilient foam ever created by Mizuno. The bottom layer consists of Enerzy foam, which provides extra responsiveness and ensures durability so that the shoe retains its cushioning value for a long time. The combination of these foams makes the midsole soft and extremely responsive while running. A Mizuno Wave structure was chosen for the heel and midfoot, in which two different EVA foam materials with different hardness are placed on top of each other. This provides better stability without sacrificing cushioning. With every step you take, the landing will be partly cushioned and a spring effect will follow through the wavy foams. Finally, the shoe has a removable insole made of extremely soft material.
Upper
The Smooth Stretch upper feels soft and comfortable on the feet. The mesh material provides stretch in the forefoot and also provides breathability. Recycled materials have been used to make the upper, sustainability and comfort come together in this upper.
Outsole
The X10 outsole provides grip while running in wet and dry conditions. This outsole is also made to last a long time. The X10 outsole is made of carbon and provides extra support in strategic places.
