Additional silicone threads on the inside prevent the running socks from slipping, and an extra padded heel tab prevents chafing and blisters. Padding is the thicker part of the fabric that provides extra protection for the foot, reducing pressure. Mesh zones at the instep also provide comfortable ventilation.
