Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. This natural base encourages better alignment, a better running form, and a low-impact landing. Whether you prefer maximum cushioning, low cushioning, or something in between, Balanced Cushioning lets your feet move naturally with every step.

Midsole

The midsole is equipped with a thick layer of Altra EGO™ MAX foam and offers maximum comfort, regardless of the distance you run. The foam is quite soft and has a good energy return. With its Standard FootShape™ fit, the Paradigm offers enough space for the foot to move naturally. The foam features Innerflex™ technology. This is the grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This makes the shoe lighter and more flexible without sacrificing cushioning. To ensure that you get the right support during your runs, the shoe uses the GuideRail™ support' system. This technology is designed to provide support and pronation control when you start to get tired, but does not really affect your normal running.

Upper

The upper is made of Premium engineered mesh. The breathability of the upper keeps your feet comfortable. The engineered upper is lightweight, yet strong to support tired legs. This upper features Altra's Fit4Her™ technology, which allows it to accommodate the unique shape of a female foot, with a narrower heel and midfoot, higher instep, longer arch, and unique midfoot spacing.

Outsole
