Midsole

This model has a new midsole consisting of EnergyCell+™ foam. This soft material returns a lot of energy and is durable at the same time. The cushioning feels very pleasant, allowing you to run long distances on the trails effortlessly.

Upper

With the upper of the SPEEDCROSS GTX you are ready for your next trail adventure. The upper part of the shoe is covered by Salomon's SensiFit™ construction, from the midsole to the lacing system, and thus provides optimal support and a customized fit around the foot. The shoe also features a Gore-Tex® upper, keeping the shoe dry and mud-resistant regardless of weather conditions. In addition to Gore-Tex®, the anti-debris mesh prevents dirt from getting between your foot and the footbed. The ripstop weaving technique is used to make the shoe's upper material strong and tear-resistant. The bottom of the heel is reinforced while the top of the heel counter remains flexible, soft and comfortable. The advantage of this is that it does not create pressure on your heel bone. Finally, the shoes are equipped with the Quicklace lacing system, so your laces will never come loose while running. You also no longer have to worry about laces that can get stuck in branches while running.

Outsole

The Contagrip® Mud outsole is specially designed for effortless running on wet surfaces. The sole material is soft to provide maximum grip on muddy and slippery surfaces. The sole features Chevron studs that allow it to settle deep into soft ground. The large spaces between the studs ensure that mud disappears quickly.
