When your Index.01 is worn out, you can return the shoe to Salomon. Salomon will then take the shoe apart and will use every part of the old shoe in new products.

Cushioning and durability are what the Salomon Index.01 is all about. The midsole provides good cushioning. The mesh upper is made of recycled polyester and keeps the feet cool when running. The TPU midsole has been enriched with nitrogen. The TPU material makes the midsole very durable and allows you to make many miles on these shoes. The nitrogen returns extra energy. You'll both experience a spring and a cushioned feel during your runs. The Reverse Camber technology gives the sole its round look. Thanks to this technology you'll experience a smooth heel-to-toe transition. The outsole also features TPU material.

After having enjoyed these shoes for a lot of miles, and when they are worn out, you can return them for free to Salomon. Salomon will then clean the shoes. Remove the upper from the midsole and outsole. The polyester of the upper and TPU materials of the sole can then be recycled. The materials will first be cut into small pieces, after which they will be used to form the base material of new products. A good example of a Salomon product made of these recycled materials are Salomon's latest generation of skiing shoes. This whole recycling process will happen locally, thereby preventing unnecessary transport.
