Midsole

The Cloudboom Volt features the ultra-soft Helion™ HyperFoam made by Pebax®. Even when you get tougher during your run, Helion™ HyperFoam offers a high level of energy return so you can keep running at speed. The foam is combined with the unique CloudTec® technology. CloudTec® are the ‘clouds’ that absorb shocks both horizontally and vertically, making your landing extra soft. As soon as your feet hit the ground, the Clouds stay firmly in place so you can continue with a powerful push-off. Additionally, the midsole features the signature Speedboard®, a carbon plate that flexes during running and provides a responsive feel upon push-off.

Upper

In strategic areas, the Swiss-Engineered mesh upper offers flexibility and breathability, while in other areas the shoe fits a bit tighter. The shoe is somewhat tighter around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feel. Furthermore, the upper is made from recycled materials. This is one of the ways On strives to make its products increasingly sustainable.

Outsole
