The New Balance FuelCell Elite v2 for women are neutral competition running shoes. These fast shoes are prefect for marathon races at a record breaking pace. The FuelCell RC Elite v2 provides quite a lot of stability and balance for a Carbon racer. Are you looking for your first Carbon plated running shoes? Or are you looking for an accessible racing shoe for your marathons? Then the RC Elite V2 might be the perfect shoe for you.
The upper is highly breathable, you can actually see the ventilation perforations clearly. The forefoot is quite roomy. Have you got wide feet? Than the RC Elite v2 will probably provide enough room for a comfortable fit and feel. The tongue isn't attached to the upper, but stays excellently in place anyway. The RC Elite v2 features quite some padding around the collar and the heel. Most racing shoes don't have this. Thanks to this the Elite v2 knows to provide the comfort level of a training shoe, but the performance of a racing shoe.
The Elite v2 has more foam in the FuelCell midsole. Thanks to this the forefoot and the heel are a bit higher than in most other shoes. The offset has been reduced from 10 mm to 8 mm. The extra volume of the midsole provides more cushioning which is especially necessary when running long distances. Thanks to the extra cushioning material fatigue is also postponed: your legs will feel fresh for longer.
The Carbon plate in the midsole of the RC Elite v2 has a wave-like pattern. Because the midsole was less thick, the plate in the predecessor was kept a bit flatter. Thanks to the thicker midsole there's more room to play around with the shape of the carbon plate and to make it even more effective. Thanks to this you'll have a more aggressive and faster feel. The shoes propel you forward during your runs. These competition shoes are a bit heavier, but you'll hardly notice this thanks to the enormous forward propulsion. The rubber underneath the forefoot has a different shape, but still provides excellent grip.
