The Fresh Foam X 860 meets New Balance's green leaf standard: the upper is made from 50% or more recycled content and the midsole or outsole is made from at least one material containing at least 3% organic content or 5% recycled content.

Midsole

The shoe with the Fresh Foam X midsole provides ultra-cushioning during your run and gives a responsive feeling under the feet. The Fresh Foam X midsole has a double density, this is the Dual-Density. A hard Fresh Foam X block is placed on the inside of the shoe for the right support while running. In order to correct overpronation, special embroidery has been applied to the medial side of the shoe that offers you support when you roll over the inside of your foot a little more. This is extra pleasant when you get tired and start moving more inwards.

Upper

The shoe's Engineered Mesh upper provides support in strategic areas around the midfoot and is highly breathable in the forefoot. The shoe is slightly tighter around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feel. To keep the tongue centered and prevent debris from entering the shoe, a gusseted tongue is connected to both sides of the upper. Finally, the lace closure is adjustable to ensure a snug fit.
