The Fresh Foam X 860v14 meets New Balance's green leaf standard: the upper is made from 50% or more recycled content and the midsole or outsole is made from at least one material containing at least 3% organic content or 5% recycled content.

Midsole

The shoe with the Fresh Foam X midsole provides ultra-cushioning during your run and gives a responsive feeling under the feet. The midsole has a double density and consists of two Fresh Foam X-foam materials. It offers the midsole a lot of cushioning for your heel and forefoot, while also providing crucial support for the arch of the foot. It contains a sturdy Fresh Foam X block in the middle of the shoe to prevent pronation. In order to correct overpronation, special embroidery has been applied to the medial side of the shoe that offer you support when you roll over the inside of your foot a little more.
