The X-Talon 255 has an upper made of Ballistic Nylon, a durable material that does not absorb water. It was originally developed for the military to protect soldiers from flying shrapnel. This ensures that the upper is resistant to impact from rocks and branches. The X-Talon 255 has a slightly wider fit. This gives the feet a little more room to move for a comfortable feeling while running. Yet, the upper keeps your feet securely in place so you can move quickly and agilely over technical trails. The EVA midsole provides effective cushioning and shock absorption. The Sticky Grip outsole with 8mm studs offers plenty of grip on hard, wet rocks as well as on soft surfaces.
