The HOKA Rocket X for both men and women are neutral competition shoes. The new HOKA model can be seen as the successor to the HOKA Carbon Rocket. The lightweight competition shoes are made for shorter distances at a high pace. Want to run your fastest 10km or half marathon ever? Then the Rocket X could just be a good choice. The very thin Mesh upper offers high breathability and falls smoothly around the feet. The heel and tongue contain more structure than many other competition shoes. This offers more comfort, despite adding a little more weight to the Rocket X. But that shouldn't have a name. The HOKA Rocket X weighs only 210 grams (US size 9).
The CMEVA-Foam midsole offers effective shock absorption while walking, but also a lot of ground contact. This midsole works together with a 1 mm thin Carbon plate. This Carbon plate ensures an energetic and fast feeling. It allows the feet to unwind quickly and easily. The Rocket X offers less cushioning than you may be used to from HOKA. The design of the new Rocket X therefore moves more towards a traditional racing flat. However, the shoe is much more stable than the average competition shoe thanks to the wide base. Slightly overpronating runners could also get on well here.
The HOKA Rocket X contains strategically placed rubber parts as an outsole instead of an outsole over the entire length of the foot. This contributes to the light weight of the competition shoes. Despite the minimal outsole, you still experience sufficient grip when walking on a wetter road surface or when walking at speed through bends. The new HOKA Rocket X is an ideal competition shoe for running a very fast 10km or half marathon. It is also one of the friendlier priced competition shoes with a Carbon plate.
