Because the midsole doesn't have a lot of cushioning material, the Brooks Launch 9 provides a lot of contact with the underground. The midsole of the Brooks Launch GTS 9 is 2mm thicker than the midsole of the Launch GTS 8. The renewed midsole and the Green Rubber Outsole help your feet travel through heel-to-toe transition rapidly.

The GTS version of the Launch 9 features Brooks' special GuideRails Holistic Support System. This refined system only corrects overpronation when it actually happens. When your feet move in forward direction and a correction isn't necessary the GuideRails stay inactive. Only when moving outside of those boundaries the system will guide your feet through a natural and smooth transition.
