Midsole

The Cascadia 17 has Brooks' DNA LOFT v2 foam in the midsole. The foam is lightweight due to the right balance between the amount of rubber and air in the foam. The foam has Brooks' DNA technology, where the foam adapts to your running style. This means the shoe has a cushioning foam that ensures a smooth transition from heel to toe. Trail Adapt System is the advanced system of the Cascadia 17 and ensures that all elements of the sole work together. The sole consists of three elements that together provide enormous control and stability. The system allows the following three elements to work together: the integrated DNA LOFT v2 foam, a protective and propulsive rock plate placed between two layers of DNA LOFT v2 and an advanced outsole system. The Trail Adapt System provides extra control while running and creates a mix of improved propulsion and protection.

Upper

The Cascadia has an upper that makes you trail-ready. The mesh upper is comfortable and has the additional advantage that it has a ventilating function. The toe part of the shoe is extra reinforced to protect your toes during your run through nature. In addition to the Toe Protector, the upper also has a transparent mudguard to keep your feet cool and dry. To keep the tongue centered and prevent dirt from entering the shoe, a pleated tongue is connected to both sides of the upper. The upper is made of mesh, making the Cascadia very breathable and comfortable while running. The toe area is extra reinforced for maximum protection.

Outsole

For good grip during your trail run, Brooks has developed the TrailTack Green Rubber outsole. TrailTack Green Rubber is made on a sustainable basis, is wear-resistant and consists of 25% recycled materials. The TrailTack rubber outsole grips soft and wet surfaces with the studs.
