Midsole

The midsole is made up of two foams. Directly under the foot you will find a layer of Altra EGO™ PRO, a super lightweight and responsive foam. The bottom layer of the midsole consists of Altra EGO™ MAX. This luxurious, lightweight foam is specially developed to make running as comfortable as possible. It is relatively soft and provides good energy return. The Mont Blanc Carbon has the Standard FootShape™ fit. This fit gives the foot enough space to move naturally. The full carbon plate of Carbitex™ is designed to bend naturally with your foot.

Upper

In strategic places, the Engineered Mesh upper provides flexibility and breathability while in other places the shoe fits a little tighter. The shoe is a little tighter around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feel. In the upper of this shoe Altra has used synthetic yarns.

Outsole

The shoe uses an innovative outsole technology developed by Vibram in collaboration with top athletes, called Vibram Litebase. The Vibram Litebase outsole reduces the thickness of the sole by 50%, reduces the weight by 30% and retains 100% of the grip, traction and durability that Vibram is known for.
