Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. Midsole

The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam, which is designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, no matter how far you run. The StoneGuard™, Altra's removable rock plate, is included with this shoe. The StoneGuard™ is a thin plastic insole. It comes generically and must be cut to fit your shoe. When placed between the midsole and the insole, it protects your foot from sharp rocks.

Upper

With its ripstop woven upper, this shoe offers durability and tear resistance. GaiterTrap™ allows you to easily attach your gaiters to the shoe, preventing sand and dirt from entering. With Altra's Fit4Her™ technology, the upper is designed to fit the specific shape of the female foot, which has a narrower heel and midfoot, a higher instep, a longer arch and a unique midfoot spacing.
