Altra Lone Peak 8 Men

Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. This natural base encourages better alignment, a better running form, and a low-impact landing. Whether you prefer maximum cushioning, low cushioning, or something in between, Balanced Cushioning lets your feet move naturally with every step.

Midsole

The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam, which is designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, no matter how far you run. It is a slightly firmer foam that returns enough energy efficiently. The Lone Peak has the Original FootShape™ fit and gives your foot the freedom to move naturally. The StoneGuard™, Altra's removable rock plate, is included with this shoe. The StoneGuard™ is a thin plastic insole. It comes generically and must be cut to fit your shoe. When placed between the midsole and the insole, it protects your foot from sharp rocks.

Upper

The upper of this shoe is made using the ripstop weaving technique, which makes it tear-resistant and strong. Thanks to GaiterTrap™ you can easily attach your Gaiters to the shoe, preventing sand and dirt from getting in.

Outsole
