Altra Lone Peak 8 Men

Each Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, so with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. This natural foundation encourages better alignment, a better running style and a low-impact landing. Whether you prefer maximum cushioning, low cushioning or something in between, Balanced Cushioning lets your feet move naturally with every step.

Midsole

The Lone Peak has the Original FootShape™ fit. This is Altra's widest fit which gives your foot room to move naturally. The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam. This foam is specially designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, regardless of the distance. It is a slightly harder foam with good energy return. This shoe contains Altra's proprietary removable rock plate, StoneGuard™. The StoneGuard™ is a thin plastic insole. They are supplied generically and must therefore be cut to fit your shoe. The shoe protects your foot against sharp stones by placing it between the insole and the midsole.

Upper

The GaiterTrap™ ensures that your Gaiters can easily be attached to the shoe, preventing sand and dirt from entering the shoe. This shoe uses the ripstop weaving technique for the upper material, making it resilient and durable.

Outsole
