Midsole

The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam. This foam is specially designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, regardless of the distance. It is a somewhat firmer foam with good energy return. The Escalante 5 features the Standard FootShape™ fit. This fit gives the foot sufficient room to move naturally.

Upperwork

In strategic places, the Engineered Mesh upper provides flexibility and breathability, while in other areas the shoe fits a bit tighter. The shoe is somewhat tighter around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feel.

Outsole
