Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. Midsole

The midsole uses a slightly harder foam with good energy return. This foam has been specially developed to offer you the most comfort during your run, regardless of the distance. With its Standard FootShape™ fit, the Escalante offers sufficient space for the foot to move naturally. The Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the foam. This is the grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This makes the shoe lighter and more flexible without sacrificing cushioning.

Upper

The Engineered Mesh upper provides support in strategic places around the midfoot and has high breathability in the forefoot.

Outsole
