Each Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, so with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. Midsole

With its Standard FootShape™ fit, the Escalante offers enough space for the foot to move naturally. A slightly harder foam is used in the midsole with good energy return. This foam has been specially developed to offer you the most comfort during your run, regardless of the distance. The Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the foam. This is a grid of slots that cut through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces weight and dramatically increases the shoe's flexibility without sacrificing cushioning.

Upper

This shoe has a knitted upper, making the material seamless and able to stretch with your foot. The knitted upper also has high breathability to keep your feet cool.

Outsole
