The adidas Adistar is a neutral all-round running shoe. The Adistar was born from the idea of perpetual motion. It offers a totally new and unexpected running experience. The textured upper combined with the unique midsole help guide, protect and support runners.

The upper is soft, breathable and made of a customizable mesh material. It is designed to reduce irritation and improve comfort. The reinforced tongue and collar together provide a soft entry. The upper has a reinforcement around the midfoot and ensures that the shoe fits like a cage around the foot when tying the laces.

The fit of the ladies model has been adjusted. Adidas has researched the anatomy of women's feet. Here are some results that they have implemented in the upper of the Adistar. Women's shoes are made with a specific last and less volume in the forefoot. Women generally have a narrower heel and this can cause the foot to chafe in the shoe. The Adistar has a narrower heel to prevent this.

Adidas introduces a new technology in the Adistar, namely: Repetitor. Repetitor is a firmer EVA foam designed to protect the heel at first ground contact and support the foot during the transition. The foam is placed like a block in the midsole under the heel. The material consists of 15% recycled foam material. In this way, the Adistar gets a brand new, super light, lightweight midsole that provides a forward movement with enough energy return. This forward movement is enhanced by the rocker geometry of the forefoot with an offset of 6mm.

The Continental outsole offers excellent grip for any distance.
