New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v10
New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v10
The New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v10 has changed in many ways. The new Hypoknit 2.0 upper and the UltraHeel ensure a better fit. The largest update however is found in the loss of weight. The v10 is 7.5% lighter in weight than its predecessor. The 1080v10 for neutral runners also features New Balance’s new Fresh Foam X material. This material has a softer feel than regular Fresh Foam, while it also returns more energy when running. Because the midsole has more laser incisions it can offer more cushioning. The outsole has also been updated. Added underneath the toes and the heel is the wearproof Endurance rubber. The outsole also has a sloped design called a ‘rocker’. This ensures that the sole follows the feet’s movement during transition. Like this the shoes stay responsive, mile after mile.
In comparison with the v9, the v10 is:
18%
more flexible
8.5%
softer
lighter 11.2%
more responsive
