Midsole

This model has a foam specially developed for longer distances. This concerns Salomon's Energy Foam, a responsive foam made by combining EVA and Olefin (OBC). This foam is lightweight and provides enormous cushioning to push you forward with every step you take. ProFeel Film is a flexible protection plate above the outsole. The plate protects your foot against sharp objects during your trail run and thus acts as a filter between you and the terrain you are running on. There is a smooth transition from heel to forefoot while running, thanks to the Reverse Camber technology. Many Salomon shoes use Reverse Camber technology, the shoe has a round "rocker sole" where the toe part of the shoe is extra raised. The EndoFit™ sockliner is designed to hug the foot in exactly the right places to ensure a perfect fit.

Upper

The Ultra Glide 2 has a 3D engineered mesh upper and offers very high breathability and a lot of flexibility. The 3D engineered mesh upper of the shoe is covered by Salomon's SensiFit™ construction, from midsole to the lacing system, and thus provides optimal support and a customized fit around the foot.
