Midsole

The midsole is made of Energy Foam, a responsive foam made by combining EVA and Olefin (OBC). This is the perfect foam combination for a midsole that needs to be super light, ultra-cushioned and high in energy return. Energy Foam provides consistent comfort, no matter how long your trail run. ProFeel Film is a flexible protection plate above the outsole. The plate protects your foot against sharp objects during your trail run and thus acts as a filter between you and the terrain you are running on. There is a smooth transition from heel to forefoot while running, thanks to the Reverse Camber technology. Many Salomon shoes use Reverse Camber technology, the shoe has a round "rocker sole" where the toe part of the shoe is extra raised. Finally, the shoe has a special sockliner called EndoFit™, which is designed to hug the foot in exactly the right places and provide a snug fit.

Upper

The ULTRA GLIDE has a 3D engineered mesh upper and offers very high breathability and a lot of flexibility. The Sensifit technology on the inside of the shoe encloses the foot. It adapts the forefoot and midfoot support to your feet, so that you experience continuous cushioning and support over long distances. Finally, the shoe has the Quicklace lacing system to easily loosen and tighten your laces. This means you no longer have to worry about laces that can get stuck in branches while running.

Outsole
