Midsole

This model has a foam specially developed for longer distances. This concerns Salomon's Energy Foam, a responsive foam made by combining EVA and Olefin (OBC). This foam is lightweight and provides enormous cushioning to push you forward with every step you take. During your trail run, ProFeel Film acts as a filter between you and the terrain you are running on. ProFeel Film is a flexible protection plate above the outsole and protects your feet against sharp objects. The Reverse Camber design of the sole ensures a smooth transition from heel to forefoot. The toe part of the shoe is extra raised. Finally, EndoFit™, an internal sockliner designed to hug the foot in just the right places and provide a precise fit.

Upper

With the upper of the ULTRA GLIDE GTX you are ready for your next trail adventure. The 3D engineered mesh upper of the shoe is covered by Salomon's SensiFit™ construction, from midsole to the lacing system, and thus provides optimal support and a customized fit around the foot. The shoe also features a Gore-Tex® upper, keeping the shoe dry and mud-resistant regardless of weather conditions. Finally, the shoe has the Quicklace lacing system to easily loosen and tighten your laces. This means you no longer have to worry about laces that can get stuck in branches while running.

Outsole
