Midsole

The midsole is made of Energy Foam, a responsive foam made by combining EVA and Olefin (OBC). This is the perfect foam combination for a midsole that needs to be super light, ultra-cushioned and high in energy return. Energy Foam provides consistent comfort, no matter how long your trail run.

Upper

The Thundercross GTX has an upper specifically designed for trail runners. The upper part of the shoe is covered by Salomon's SensiFit™ construction, from the midsole to the lacing system, and thus provides optimal support and a customized fit around the foot. Sweat vapor will have the chance to escape, but from rain the shoe is protected by the Gore-Tex® membrane. In addition to Gore-Tex®, the anti-debris mesh prevents dirt from getting between your foot and the footbed. Finally, the shoe has the Quicklace lacing system to easily loosen and tighten your laces. This means you no longer have to worry about laces that can get stuck in branches while running.

Outsole

The Contagrip® All Terrain outsole is designed to allow you to run with confidence on varying trails. Thanks to the large Chevron studs on the outsole, you have optimal grip on all terrains.
