Midsole

The midsole has EnergyCell+™ foam, a soft foam with a high degree of energy return that consists of durable materials, which ensures that you can comfortably cover your kilometers during your longer trail runs.

Upper

The SPEEDCROSS GTX has an upper that makes you trail-ready. The upper part of the shoe is covered by Salomon's SensiFit™ construction, from the midsole to the lacing system, and thus provides optimal support and a customized fit around the foot. Regardless of the planned adventure, the shoe will be protected against rain and mud by the Gore-Tex® membrane. In addition to Gore-Tex®, the anti-debris mesh gives you the certainty that no dirt will get between your foot and the footbed. Ripstop is the weaving technique used in manufacturing the shoe to ensure that the material of the upper is strong and tear-resistant. With this shoe, the bottom of the heel is reinforced while the top is flexible, soft and comfortable. This will not put pressure on your heel bone. Finally, the shoe has the Quicklace lacing system to easily loosen and tighten your laces. This means you no longer have to worry about laces that can get stuck in branches while running.

Outsole

When the paths become muddy or wet you need extra grip, which is what the Contagrip® Mud outsole provides. This outsole has a slightly softer material to provide maximum grip on muddy and slippery surfaces. On soft surfaces, the Chevron studs provide good grip, these large studs can settle deep in the ground. Mud will quickly disappear under the sole due to the large spaces between the studs.
