Midsole

The midsole is made of Energy Foam, a responsive foam made by combining EVA and Olefin (OBC). This is the perfect foam combination for a midsole that needs to be super light, ultra-cushioned and high in energy return. Energy Foam provides consistent comfort, no matter how long your trail run. In addition to the cushioning of the foam, the Energy Blade provides extra speed. The Energy Blade is a lightweight TPU plate placed in the midsole. This plate provides extra power and propulsion in your running stride, resulting in a smooth push-off and a balanced transition from heel to forefoot. There is a smooth transition from heel to forefoot while running, thanks to the Reverse Camber technology. Many Salomon shoes use Reverse Camber technology, the shoe has a round "rocker sole" where the toe part of the shoe is extra raised.

Upper

With the engineered mesh upper of the PHANTASM it offers a lot of ventilation and provides enough flexibility.

Outsole
