The Salomon Index 02 are neutral, all-round running shoes that are fully recyclable. The shoe has been developed with a sustainable idea in mind. You can send the shoes back to Salomon when they are worn out, after which the running shoes will be taken apart. The shoes are then completely recycled and converted into new products.

Cushioning and durability are central to the Salomon Index 02. The midsole provides good cushioning. The Mesh upper made from recycled polyester. It keeps your feet cool while walking. The TPU midsole is enriched with nitrogen. The TPU material ensures that the midsole is very durable and you can therefore walk on the running shoes for a long time. While walking you experience a jumping and cushioning feeling. The Reverse Camber technology gives a slight bulge in the midsole for a smooth rolling feel. The outsole is also made of TPU material and, unlike its predecessor, spreads over the entire surface of the sole.

If the shoes are worn out after many kilometers, you can send them to Salomon free of charge. Salomon first cleans the shoes. They then remove the upper from the midsole and outsole. For example, the recycled polyester and the TPU material can be recycled separately. The materials are cut into very small pieces. Those small parts of polyester and TPU then form the basis for the material from which new products are made, including the latest generation of Salomon ski boots. Everything is done in Salomon's local branches in order to avoid unnecessary transport.

The Salomon Index 02 is an ideal running shoe for your daily run, but can also be used for long distances. The shoes not only provide good cushioning, but also a good feeling. By wearing these shoes you reduce your own ecological footprint.
