The double-layered upper is strong and can take a beating. It leaves the feet breathable thanks to the small perforations. The FlipRelease system in the lacing contributes to the high comfort of these shoes. When you start your long trail run, your feet are still relatively cool. After making quite a few kilometers, your feet swell slightly due to the heat. By clicking the FlipRelease loose in an instant during your run, your feet get more space. This way you can tie the laces well and firmly before you start your run and your feet will have more space during the last kilometers without having to loosen the laces in between.

The two layers of Helion foam in the midsole provide a lot of cushioning. This gives a soft running feeling and reduces the pressure on the joints. The 'clouds' in the midsole absorb the impact during landing and transfer that energy into a forward movement during your push-off. The Clouds in On running shoes can normally move independently of each other. In the Cloudultra, the Clouds are interconnected to keep rocks out of the midsole. The Missiongrip outsole contains a traction pattern in three different directions. This sounds very technical, but actually the conclusion is very simple; this gives a lot of grip and traction.
