The ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 3 is no less than 17 grams lighter than its predecessor, because some ZoomX foam has been cut away at the midfoot.

The midsole contains a so-called Flyplate (carbon plate) over the full length of the midsole. This plate provides stability, energy return and a smooth settlement. The Vaporfly 3 has been made a bit more stable than its predecessor by an extended heel consisting of ZoomX foam. For example, weight on the inside of the foot is reduced through a more stable walking experience.

The outsole has been given a new design with a waffle structure and flex grooves. This gives you more grip, better durability and improved cornering stability. The forefoot is made reasonably wide so that you experience a stable feeling with every step.
