    Midsole

    The midsole is made of ReactX foam. Compared to Nike React foam, ReactX is designed to reduce the carbon footprint of a pair of midsoles by at least 43% due to the reduced energy used in the manufacturing process, and to increase energy return by 13%. Built into the midsole of this shoe is a Zoom Air Unit, which absorbs impact and then quickly rebounds, reducing stress on muscles, joints and tendons. Zoom Air Units allow you to run faster and jump higher because they transfer energy more efficiently.

    Upper

    The mesh upper makes the Pegasus 41 very breathable and ensures a comfortable feeling while running.

    Outsole

    The shoe's rubber outsole provides good grip and traction while running. The outsole also has flex grooves to create more flexibility in the forefoot. The rubber outsole features Nike's iconic waffle pattern. This has short studs in the shape of a honeycomb. This pattern provides grip on both dry and wet surfaces.
