New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer v2 Men

The New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer v2 are neutral, all-round running shoes. New Balance's FuelCell collection consists of running shoes that are designed to cover your kilometers as quickly as possible. With the SuperComp Trainer v2 an extra element is added: cover your kilometers as efficiently as possible. The combination of two thick layers of FuelCell material and a carbon plate that can be bent in two directions gives back a lot of energy.

What are the updates? This fast shoe has been modified from upper to outsole. We see the biggest change in the foam material. The midsole is slightly less thick compared to the predecessor and now meets the World Athletics Union rules. The FuelCell Foam is 33% lighter, but offers the same firmness as the damping material that was previously used. This has resulted in considerable weight savings.

The Engineered Mesh upper is lightweight and provides a fit with a lot of support. The heel counter is internally reinforced and molded from the calf to conform to the natural shape of the ankle joint. The shoe is a bit tighter around the New Balance logo for a good lockdown. There are many perforations throughout the upper for optimal breathability in all conditions.

The SuperComp Trainer v2 uses the Energy Arc system. A carbon plate that deforms in two directions, resting between two layers of high energy return foam. A large recess can be seen in the bottom layer, which allows the plate to spring in and out again. This is the optimal combination between soft cushioning and maximum energy return.

To ensure that you have maximum grip with as little weight as possible, the bottom of the shoe is equipped with a lightweight solid rubber outsole. This follows the contours of the recess in the midsole and is very durable. To protect the carbon, there is also some wear sole on the carbon plate.
