New Balance Fresh Foam X Vongo v5 (Extra Wide) Men

The New Balance Fresh Foam Vongo v5 (Extra Wide) are anti-pronation shoes. This running shoe is also seen as the supportive version of the New Balance 1080. The Vongo v5 is aimed at runners with an average to heavier build who need support and are looking for a lot of cushioning and comfort.

This fifth edition of the Vongo has received an update of the cushioning, upper and outsole. The Vongo V5 now has the new Fresh FoamX material which gives more cushioning than the predecessor. In addition, the heel cap has become firmer and in combination with the Hypoknit upper it gives a nice fit.

The Fresh FoamX midsole over the entire length of the shoe provides constant cushioning during your run. Under the arch of the foot, the Vongo v5 is equipped with a somewhat harder Fresh Foam material that is more difficult to compress. This support is barely noticeable, but it does prevent overpronation.

The outsole of the Vongo v5 consists of different zones. For example, the heel part is equipped with the most durable rubber that is shaped like a horseshoe to cushion you well on landing.
