The Fresh Foam X 860 meets New Balance's green leaf standard: the upper is made from 50% or more recycled content and the midsole or outsole is made from at least one material containing at least 3% organic content or 5% recycled content.

Midsole

The shoe with the Fresh Foam X midsole provides ultra-cushioning during your run and gives a responsive feeling under the feet. The Fresh Foam X midsole has a double density, this is the Dual-Density. A hard Fresh Foam X block is placed on the inside of the shoe for the right support while running. This running shoe gives you the support you need when you roll over the inside of your foot a little more through the special embroidery on the medial side. The reinforcements on the shoe ensure that you roll over the middle of your foot more.

Upper

The Engineered Mesh upper provides flexibility and breathability in strategic places while providing a tighter fit in other areas. The shoe is fitted around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feel. The shoe's gusseted tongue is attached to the upper on both sides, helping to keep debris out of the shoe and center the tongue. As a finishing touch, the upper features an adjustable lace closure to ensure a perfect fit.
