In the upper we see the Hypoknit that we first saw with the 1080v11. The upper is breathable and stretchy. The large 'N' logo provides support around the middle part of the foot. The 1080v12 still features a full bootie construction. Together with the preformed heel counter, the UltraHeel with memory foam, this ensures an optimal fit.

The Fresh Foam 1080v12 contains a Fresh Foam X midsole. This updated Fresh Foam material feels lighter and softer, while returning more energy while running. The midsole provides support through the strategically placed elements.

The Endurance rubber is incorporated into the outsole. This material is very durable and is used under the parts of the foot that experience the most impact. EVA material with strategically placed grooves has been incorporated under the midfoot. This material is flexible and provides grip and easy handling. Finally, under the forefoot is the Blown Rubber material, which provides more grip and is something we already know from the other 1080 shoes. The outsole is slightly curved and moves as the feet roll over.
