These trail shoes are designed for running highly technical trails and longer distances. The POWERFLOW midsole has been replaced by a POWERFLOW MAX midsole. This sole is 33% thicker than its predecessor. This gives these trail shoes more cushioning and comfort for running longer distances. The added BOOMERANG footbed provides 40% more energy return and a boost to the forefoot. The upper was also improved when designing the new INOV8 Trailfly G 270. The redesigned tongue is thin and conforms comfortably to the foot. The fit in the forefoot has been widened, which is especially beneficial when feet expand while running longer distances. Graphene has been added to the rubber outsole, which is also what the G in the shoe's name stands for. Graphene consists of a layer of carbon material. It is very flexible and thin. Despite this, graphene is 200 times stronger than steel. This provides significant protection and reinforcement for the feet. The use of graphene makes the outsole of the Trailfly G 270 stronger, more stretchable, and more resistant to wear and tear than the average outsole in running shoes. The 4mm lugs in the outsole bite into mud and other soft surfaces. These lugs are designed to quickly drain water for extra grip on hard and wet surfaces.
