The HOKA Mafate Speed 4 are trail shoes for the neutral runner. This trail shoe is known for its maximum cushioning and is suitable for the runner who wants to run longer distances on the trails. This is also a stable trail shoe for the heavier runner, due to the wide stable base.

The Mafate Speed 4 hasn't changed much from its predecessor. The upper has been updated to a single-layer Jacquard Mesh, which ensures that the foot is well enclosed. The toe area has a rubber protective layer that is resistant to stones and branches.

The midsole has been updated with the latest PROFLY+ midsole construction. The PROFLY+ consists of two layers that provide a cushioned landing and responsive push-off, leading to a uniquely soft and at the same time pleasant walking sensation. The Mafate Speed is also seen as the HOKA Bondi, but with studs for optimal grip.

To give you grip on your next trail run, the Mataspeed Speed 4 has a Vibram Megagrip Litebase outsole. Litebase is lighter in weight than regular Vibram rubber, but with the same durability.
