Midsole

The Mafate X features a Supercritical EVA & PEBA Superfoam midsole, a construction where HOKA combines two foam layers: a light, stable EVA base and an ultra-resilient PEBA top layer. Upper

Mafate X features a flexible woven textile upper. The upper is lightweight and provides targeted support. The toe area is reinforced to provide extra protection against impact and sharp objects. Reinforcement is added to the bottom of the heel cup, while the upper remains flexible, soft and comfortable, so your heel bone is not put under pressure. The gusseted tongue of this shoe is connected to the upper on both sides, which prevents debris from entering the shoe and keeps the tongue centered.

Outsole

The outsole is made of zonal rubber and has a coarse profile for a lot of grip on all types of surfaces. Zones of abrasion-resistant rubber have been added to the heel and forefoot for improved durability. The geometry of the outsole is designed in such a way to ensure inherent stability and an efficient stride. The Mafate X has 3.5 mm long studs.
