Midsole

Furthermore, in addition to the foam, this model also has ASICS' GEL™ technology incorporated in the heel, which improves shock absorption and makes the heel landing softer. To top it all off, this shoe also has an ORTHOLITE™ insole. This insole offers soft entry comfort and thus provides long-lasting cushioning. ORTHOLITE™ has an open-cell foam which ensures that the shoe is breathable on the inside and keeps your feet cool.

Upper

The upper of the GEL-EXCITE TRAIL is made of lightweight mesh that wicks moisture away from your foot, keeping you cool and dry while walking. The mesh is partly made from recycled materials.
