Midsole
The Via Olympus has the Original FootShape™ fit and gives your foot the freedom to move naturally. In the midsole you will find a thick layer of Altra EGO™ MAX. This luxurious, lightweight foam has been specially developed to make running as comfortable as possible. It is relatively soft and provides good energy return. The Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the foam. This is a grid of slots that cut through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces weight and dramatically increases the shoe's flexibility without sacrificing cushioning.
Upper
The Engineered Mesh upper provides flexibility and breathability in strategic places, while in other places the shoe is a bit tighter. The shoe is a bit tighter around the midfoot for a secure and supportive feeling.
Outsole
The rubber outsole of the shoe provides good grip and traction while running. Because the FootPod™ technology is incorporated into the outsole, the shoe can bend and move naturally in response to your foot movements.
