Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. This natural base encourages better alignment, a better running form, and a low-impact landing. Whether you prefer maximum cushioning, low cushioning, or something in between, Balanced Cushioning lets your feet move naturally with every step.

Midsole

In the midsole you will find a thick layer of Altra EGO™ MAX. This luxurious, lightweight foam is specially developed to make running as comfortable as possible. It is relatively soft and provides good energy return. With its Standard FootShape™ fit, the Timp offers sufficient space for the foot to move naturally.

Upper

GaiterTrap™ allows you to easily attach your Gaiters to your shoe, preventing sand and dirt from getting in. The Timp upper is highly breathable and the shoe is waterproof thanks to Gore-Tex® in the upper. The quick-drying Quick Dry Air Mesh upper absorbs sweat from your feet and pushes it out to promote natural evaporation. This keeps your feet dry and comfortable.
