Each Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, so with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. This natural foundation encourages better alignment, a better running style and a low-impact landing. Whether you prefer maximum cushioning, low cushioning or something in between, Balanced Cushioning lets your feet move naturally with every step.

Midsole

The Timp has a Standard FootShape™ fit, which does not restrict the movement of the foot, but still fits comfortably around the foot. In the midsole you will find a thick layer of Altra EGO™ MAX. This luxurious, lightweight foam has been specially developed to make running as comfortable as possible. It is relatively soft and provides good energy return.

Upper

The Quick Dry Air Mesh upper keeps you nice and dry and comfortable by absorbing sweat from your feet and forcing it out to promote natural evaporation. Thanks to GaiterTrap™ you can easily attach your Gaiters to the shoe, preventing sand and dirt from entering.

Outsole
