Altra Provision 8 Women

Every Altra shoe is built on a Balanced Cushioned platform that positions the heel and forefoot equidistant from the ground, with 0mm offset, or ZeroDrop™. This natural base encourages better alignment, a better running form, and a low-impact landing. Whether you prefer maximum cushioning, low cushioning, or something in between, Balanced Cushioning lets your feet move naturally with every step.

Midsole

The midsole is made of Altra's EGO™ foam. This foam is specially designed to make your run as comfortable as possible, regardless of the distance. It is a somewhat harder foam with good energy return. The Provision has a Standard FootShape™ fit, which does not restrict the movement of the foot, but still fits comfortably around the foot. The Innerflex™ technology is applied to the midsole. This is a grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces the weight and significantly increases the flexibility of the shoe without sacrificing cushioning. When you start to get tired, the shoe uses the GuideRail™ support' system, which provides support and pronation control, while you do not suffer from it during normal running. Finally, the ORTHOLITE™ insole ensures soft step-in comfort and long-lasting cushioning. The sole is made of open cells, so your feet stay cool while running.

Upper

The Engineered Mesh upper provides support in strategic areas around the midfoot and is highly breathable in the forefoot. The shoe has a molded heel counter to provide an extra secure feeling when you put the shoe on. Altra's Fit4Her™ technology ensures that the shoe adapts to the unique shape of the female foot, which has a narrower heel and midfoot, as well as a higher instep, a longer arch and a unique midfoot distance.

Outsole
