With the FWD Experience, Altra is moving into new territory. The brand is known for its ZeroDrop™ technology, so the fact that this shoe has a 4mm offset makes this shoe unique. With the FWD Experience, Altra is trying to add more depth to their range and attract a broader audience.

Midsole

The ALTRAFWD EXPERIENCE has a Standard FootShape™ fit, which does not restrict the movement of the foot, but still fits comfortably around the foot. The EVA foam midsole is made of pressure-moulded, firm lightweight foam that provides good cushioning and energy return to make your running experience as comfortable as possible. Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the midsole. This is a grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces weight and significantly increases the flexibility of the shoe without sacrificing cushioning. To top it all off, the ORTHOLITE™ insole ensures comfortable entry with long-lasting cushioning. Open cells in the sole keep your feet cool while running. Thanks to the rocker shape of the midsole, the transition from heel to forefoot is smooth and natural.

Upper

The upper is made of technical knitted mesh. The breathability of the upper keeps your feet comfortable.

Outsole

The rubber outsole of the shoe provides good grip and traction while running. FootPod™ technology is incorporated into the outsole.
