With the FWD Experience, Altra is moving into new territory. The brand is known for its ZeroDrop™ technology, so the fact that this shoe has a 4mm offset makes this shoe unique. With the FWD Experience, Altra is trying to add more depth to their range and attract a broader audience.

Midsole

The ALTRAFWD EXPERIENCE has the Standard FootShape™ fit. This fit gives the foot enough room to move naturally. The EVA foam midsole is made of pressure-moulded, firm lightweight foam that provides good cushioning and energy return to make your running experience as comfortable as possible. Innerflex™ technology has been applied to the midsole. This is a grid of slots that cuts through the entire midsole, both vertically and horizontally. This reduces weight and significantly increases the flexibility of the shoe without sacrificing cushioning. Finally, the ORTHOLITE™ insole provides soft entry comfort and long-lasting cushioning. The sole is made of open cells, which keeps your feet cool while running. The rocker shape of the midsole creates a smooth and natural transition between heel and forefoot.

Upper

The upper is made of technical knitted mesh. The breathability of the upper keeps your feet comfortable.

Outsole

The rubber outsole of the shoe provides good grip and traction while running. FootPod™ technology is incorporated into the outsole.
